These ladies showed up on their day off today, got sweaty and all kinds of dirty, sorting through over 10 large pallets of school supplies that were donated. A huge thank you to Dawn Cameron Sharon Sinn Lauren Marie and Jennifer Grecko Quinlan (who brought 8 NHS girls from Boardman High School). Because of you ladies, we have 15 pallets loaded with school supplies for local schools that need them. #spanofoundation #schoolsupplies #teachersrock #schoolsecretaryoftheyear #boardmannhs #girlpower #2021summer #ivegotdirtinplacesididntknowihad #foundanotherboxofpens
Back in April, a generous donation of 10 pallets of assorted school supplies was made to the Spano Foundation’s School Supplies Fund for distribution to area schools for the upcoming school year. With more than $27,000 worth of supplies, this donor has wished to remain anonymous and the donation will make it possible for the Spano Foundation to continue its School Supplies Fund for schools in need in the area. The Foundation is expecting that these supplies will service hundreds maybe more than that for students in the area, once the Foundation evaluates how they will distribute the supplies.
A special thank you also goes out to Diagnostics Direct, Inc. who has partnered with the Spano Foundation and has graciously received and stored these pallets at their location until distribution. “Whenever possible we feel it is extremely important to give back to the community,” stated Mike Memo, President of Diagnostics Direct, Inc. “and partnering with the Spano Foundation, with the School Supplies Fund will be helping out so many people in the community.”
