Youngstown, Ohio-The Anthony V. Spano Foundation has created the Jason Grimaldi Fund this past week. The Jason Grimaldi Fund is now part of the Anthony V. Spano Foundation in Youngstown. The Foundation is a well-established community organization dedicated to improving the lives of people in the area and beyond. The relationship between our two great entities will allow for this group to focus on its core objectives – honoring Jason’s legacy through the volunteer fire service, sciences and the arts – all while having a legitimate vehicle to raise funds and provide accountability to our donors.
At the end of March 2017, the unthinkable happened. A very brilliant, vibrant and larger than life father, firefighter and friend was taken from us without warning.
Jason Grimaldi was an amazing person. He was slow to anger and quick to help someone in need – even someone he’d never met. He knew a little about a lot of things, and everything about topics dear to his heart: science, psychology, politics, union bylaws, the making of wine and the drinking of good whiskey. They are having a charity event on Saturday, November 11 at 6pm.

The fund will support future firefighters training at MCCTC, OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology.
