For the seventh year in a row, the Boo Squad Fund made it their mission to help families with Thanksgiving meals. The Thanksgiving Food Drive has always been near and dear to our hearts and on Sunday, November 19th, we distributed Thanksgiving dinner to 262 families, which began at 10am with the drive-through giveaway at Struthers High School.
The families came from the school districts of Poland, Struthers, South Range, Springfield, Campbell, Boardman, Girard and Howland. They also fed families of The Beatitude House, Making Kids Count, The Purple Cat, DSAV, Hospice Patient families of Ohio Living, and many more local families in need.
We would like to thank our sponsors that helped support the Fund and drive.
The Boo Squad is a volunteer group for children ages 7+ and teaches our children about teamwork, volunteerism, and compassion.
“I hope this mission encourages other members of the community to step forward and support the fund or contact us to help us turn their passions into an impactful mission like the Boo Squad Fund,” Anthony Spano, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Anthony V. Spano Foundation stated.
The Boo Squad Fund is a component fund of the Anthony V. Spano Foundation. The Spano Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization for this fund.
