(Youngstown, OH) – Due to the success of the School Supply Donation Event held by Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course, in August, they were able to collect and donate two pallets of school supplies valued at approximately $3,000 to the Spano Foundation’s School Supplies Fund.
“We were extremely happy with the success of this event and thank our wonderful guests who help us make a difference in the community through drives like this,” stated Kevin Brogan, Director of Marketing at Hollywood Gaming.
“The supplies that were donated help bridge the gap for valley schools, teachers, and students in need of support,” stated Anthony Spano, Executive Director of the Anthony V. Spano Foundation. The goal of the Spano Foundation is to continue raising funds so that school districts and teachers can keep applying for grants to help offset the costs they pay out of their school accounts and the teachers’ own dollars.
